Hearing today on 237 petitions filed against CAA, Supreme Court had on March 19 sought a reply from
New Delhi. A hearing will be held today in the Supreme Court regarding the demand to ban the Citizenship Amendment Act i.e. CAA and the Citizenship Amendment Rules 2024. Since the implementation of CAA across the country, there have been protests against it, 237 petitions were filed in the Supreme Court. Of these, 20 petitions have demanded a ban on the law.
